Thailand steps up to host boxing youth worlds (AP)

The International Boxing Association says Thailand has stepped in to stage the 2012 Youth World Championships after Italy gave up hosting rights. AIBA says the event will be held Oct. 15-28 in Bangkok. Italy had been the only official bidder but withdrew its candidacy in December. AIBA did not specify reasons for Italy pulling out....
